Turin-based collectables fim Bolaffi attended the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair to promote collecting in youngsters by looking to make stamps and coins the stars of future cartoons and TV shows.
2,200 visitors attended the show with more than 500 brands showcased, and during the show Bolaffi conducted a series of meetings with companies that own iconic children’s characters to propose collaborations and present its second Koins Collection.
"We are pleased with the results of the first edition of Koins Collection, and we have begun the distribution of the packets of the second collection," said CEO Filippo Giulio Bolaffi.
"This collection, made with Nesquik, is an example of the type of business keys-in-hand suggest that the large distribution networks.
"Our goal for the coming years is to raise awareness of the stamps and coins to at least 500,000 to 600,000 children that, in the future, we hope will become adult collectors."
Marco Momoli, exhibition director of BolognaFiere, added: "We are very pleased with the results and the influx of skilled operators, both Italian and foreign.
"In particular, the large number of workshops and meetings have addressed a number of important topics and represented a moments of analysis of particular interest”.
Topics proposed during the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair spanned crowdfunding, the development of cooperation between licensing and franchising, business opportunities in Hong Kong and the prospects of licensing in the publishing industry.
