Boomerang gains SVOD platform service

Boomerang is getting its very own subscription video on-demand (SVOD) service, from Time Warner’s Turner and Warner Bros.

The service, which will be available for fans from spring 2017, will boast no advertising and will be priced at $4.99 a month.

A range of Boomerang’s new and classic shows will all hit the service, including Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, The Flintstones and more.

The service will also house exclusive original series, such as Dorothy and the Wizard Of Oz and Wacky Races.

Turner’s original Boomerang channel will still be on air, while the new service will act as a complimentary product to the channel that’s sold to pay-TV providers.
