The popular children's network will debut its refreshed look across the territory from January 1st, 2015.

Boomerang returns to Asia with brand revamp

Global kids brand and companion channel to Cartoon Network, Boomerang is relaunching across several markets in Asia.

From January 1st, 2015, the network will offer exclusive original content for the first time, including new episodes of favourites from Warner Bros. Studios such as Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo.

The all-animation network will feature a line-up of household names and contemporary cartoons aimed at both kids and their families and will be available in six markets in South East Asia, including the Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Myanmar.

“Boomerang has returned to Asia and it has never looked so good,” said Mark Eyers, chief content officer, kids, Turner International Asia Pacific.

“The channel is powered with premium content from Warner Bros. meaning that it will now be the home in Southeast Asia for the likes of Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo.

“We will be one of the first regions to unveil the new look brand and right from the start we will be airing the all new Inspector Gadget and Turbo FAST series. In April, we are very excited to debut the long awaited Mr Bean in a new animated series.”

In celebration the Boomerang refresh across the territory, plans to roll out a complementary app for mobile devices that hosts video and gaming content are currently underway.
