Brands with Influence secures new partners for The Next Step

Boat Rocker Brands and its exclusive agent, Brands with Influence, has signed four new UK licensees for tween series The Next Step.

Igloo Books is set to produce novels, annuals and specialty books on show, while Signature Publishing will publish a special Girls Love The Next Step magazine.

Elsewhere, Sainsbury’s has commissioned a collection of clothes by TVM Fashion Lab for spring/summer 2016 based on the series and Danilo will develop calendars using show and talent imagery.

The deals precede the arrival of the show’s international touring production, The Next Step Wild Rhythm Tour, which hits stages across the UK this spring.

“The series has seen tremendous growth around the world and we are thrilled that audiences in the UK are truly engaged with The Next Step," said John Young, CEO of Boat Rocker Media.

Brands with Influence’s Martin Lowde added: “The Next Step is taking the country by storm and was CBBC’s highest rated series in 2015.

"Now, with this exciting new range of merchandise, viewers will be able to enjoy the brand off-screen as well as on-screen. When you add to this the great news about the sellout tour in the spring we are in for a really big dance year."
