Brands with Influence snaps up rights to BBC’s Springwatch

Popular live nature series Springwatch is heading into the consumer products arena, with Brands with Influence signed up to manage the merchandising programme.

Springwatch is part of a series of live shows including Autumnwatch and Winterwatch, which feature live footage of wildlife in the UK in action.

The first licensee on board is Abacus which has created a range of greetings cards based on the brand. There are also plans afoot to develop gifting, stationery and a range of technical products.

"Springwatch is a staple in the BBC schedule and continues to attract a loyal broad audience from children through to adults," said Dom Wheeler from BWI. "This is a really exciting opportunity to licence out a brand with such positive values."

Brands with Influence is over at Licensing Expo in Las Vegas this week presenting the Springwatch brand to the market.
