Bloodhound Supersonic Car Project to be bolstered with consumer products lines.

Brands with Influence to drive Bloodhound licensing programme

Ambitious Brands with Influence has been appointed to manage the licensing programme for the Bloodhound Supersonic Car Project.

Led by Richard Noble OBE, the SSC Project is focused on producing a supersonic car that not just breaks the current land speed record but smashes it by achieving 1,000mph.

The adventure in science, engineering and physics is reaching millions on interested fans across the world, from its school education programme through to its documentary series on Discovery International. The programme is also supported by a range of sponsors including Jaguar, Rolex, Castrol, CISCO and Rolls Royce.

The Car is a mix of car and aircraft technology, with the front half being a carbon fibre monocoque like a racing car and the back half being a metallic framework and panels like an aircraft.

Bloodhound SSC will seek to reach 1,000mph in 2016, however the story and licensing programme resonates and appeals beyond the record attempt.

"We first became aware of the Bloodhound Project when my seven year old son asked me what the fastest car in the world was," said Martin Lowde, CEO of Brands with Influence. "After a short Google investigation, we found the Bloodhound Project in its infancy and both my son and I became fascinated with the prospect and its challenges.

"It wasn’t difficult to then see how we could work with the Bloodhound team on creating a licensing programme. This is a historic opportunity with global appeal and the journey has only just begun."

BWI will be presenting the opportunity to key licensing partners over the next couple of months prior to the vehicle testing in the autumn.
