Bravado and Funko team for Prince Pop! figures

The team at the artist and musician rights firm, Bravado has embarked on a partnership with the collectables specialist Funko that will see a collection of Prince Funko Pop! Figures hit shelves this autumn.

The trio of figures from the pop culture experts will feature the Minneapolis-born idol in iconic outffits from across his catalogue of hits: the Purple Rain era, the Raspberry Beret video and his on-stage outfit from the 3rdEyeGirl tour.

A glitter version of the Purple Rain figure will be available exclusively at FYE.

Two years after his death, there has been a slow release of music from Prince’s fabled vault of previously unreleased music, including his own version of Nothing Compares 2 U which was made famous by Sinead O’Connor, which was released in April this year.

This September 21st, Warner Bros. will issue Piano and a Microphone 1983, a nine-track, 35 minute project faturing a previously unreleased 1983 home studio cassette recording of Prince at his piano. His vault was said to contain enough music to complete 100 albums.

Plans are also reportedly underway to publish Prince’s handwritten notes and lyrics in a new collector’s book, as well as an official biography. Prince is said to have submitted 50 handwritten pages for the latter project before he died in April 2016.
