The British gardening and hand tool supplier and brand name, Spear & Jackson is looking to build out its licensing portfolio as it makes the trip to Las Vegas’ Licensing Expo next month.
Overseeing the brand’s licensing efforts in the US is the licensing agency IPR Licensing, who has just extended its long-term representation of the heritage brand to include the US market for the first time.
Spear & Jackson has been selling hand, garden, contractors, agricultural, landscaping and professional tools across the UK since 1760 from its head quarters in Sheffield in the north of England. IPR Licensing has exclusively represented Spear & Jackson in the UK for the past six years and built a strategic brand licensing program, from a zero start, which continues to grow and complement the core tools business.
Spear & Jackson exports its core tools to over 100 countries, but the US is now a key priority market for its international business growth plans. IPR will now pursue US opportunities for Spear & Jackson across garden, home and leisure sectors, drawing upon Spear & Jackson’s British heritage story spanning almost 260 years.

In addition to the Spear & Jackson US programme development news, IPR is pleased to announce a new consultant joining its UK business development effort for Spear & Jackson.
Tina-Louise Foster, of Nimbus Nine and formerly of MGA Entertainment and Dreamworks, will work alongside the IPR team focusing on children’s toys, role play, garden games and grow-your-own categories.
