British Museum fabrics on the way from Arley House

Arley House, a designer and manufacturer of bespoke fabrics, has signed a deal to produce a range of British Museum fabrics.

The new line will be illustrated with designs inspired by the British Museum’s Ancient Egypt and Asia collections. Each image will be reproduced by Arley House’s own in-house colourists and designers onto a wide variety of luxury printed linens, cottons and velvets suitable for cushions and upholstery.

Craig Bendle, manager of merchandise licensing, British Museum, added: “This exquisitely produced range will bring unique and stylish new looks not only to fabrics and cushions but to room schemes and homes.

"Arley House has done a wonderful job of reproducing and adapting some of the British Museum’s most iconic objects.”

The range will launch at interior design show Decorex 2016, taking place from September 18th to 21st in Brentford, Middlesex. It will then be available via a network of UK-wide interior designers and specialist design retailers, as well as the Arley House showroom in Cheshire and online at

Specialist brand agency TSBA Group has been appointed to build a global licensing campaign on behalf of the Museum. Deals relating to categories including stationery, greeting cards, rugs, mobile phone covers, accessories and more are planned.
