Bulldog Licensing has secured a deal with Benchmark that will see a range of LIFE-branded bags hitting the shelves.
LIFE magazine is the legendary publication that continues to enthral millions of people each week in its current incarnation, Life.com. The LIFE photographic library is a vast stock of pictures, many made famous by the magazine itself, that includes some of the world’s most recognisable photographs.
These include historical pictures dating back to the Crimean war, snaps of legends such as the Kennedys and Winston Churchill, world-famous landmarks like the Empire State Building, and incredible images of the world around us – ranging from shots taken in outer space to nature at its most powerful and beautiful.
In total, around ten million pictures are available to licence.
Benchmark will be developing a wide range of products, including messenger bags, beach bags, overnight bags and holdalls. The initial range will be available to view on the Benchmark stand at Spring Fair 2013 Hall 6, Stand T27.
Other partners include Pyramid for calendars and wall art, The Art Group for greetings cards and postcards, and Diablo Skinz for LIFE-branded skins for laptops, tablets and mobile phones, while an apparel range from Poetic Gem is selling well across the UK fashion market.
“The team at Benchmark have put together a really stunning product range which really explores the vast range of available assets,” said Bulldog MD Rob Corney. “Consumers are really connecting with the range of LIFE merchandise already available, with strong sales figures being reported, so we are very confident that these bags will prove to be a big hit at retail.”
