Bulldog Licensing has signed new partners for CBBC’s Wolfblood in Smith & Brooks and VMC.
Wolfblood is the award-winning fantasy series following two teenagers who live a secret life as Wolfbloods, humans that can turn into wolves.
The new deals will see Smith & Brooks producing an apparel range including swimwear while VMC will create a line of Wolfblood accessories.
Bulldog is now looking to extend the brand into publishing, board games, card games and stationery lines with advanced negotiations underway in all these areas.
“We have had a massive reaction to Wolfblood right across the industry from licensees and retailers which is great news and indicative of just how much potential the brand has,” said Bulldog group managing director, Rob Corney.
“The ratings for the show are incredible and with its position on the UK’s largest kids’ channel and very clear opportunities in the fashion world, there are plans in place for a major licensing programme behind this brand.
"We are in advanced talks with several other parties and will be making further announcements in the next few weeks.”
The first runs of Wolfblood reached nearly 1.1 million kids aged six to 12 on CBBC and filming for series three is now under way for broadcast later in the year.
