Battery-powered Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse bumper cars set to ride to retail.

Bumper Disney deal for Kids@Play

The creator of an R2D2 ride-in has acquired the rights to produce a new Disney-branded product.

Kids@Play is developing a battery-powered Mickey Mouse bumper car and a Minnie Mouse variant, both of which are scheduled to launch this autumn, in time for the Christmas season. They come with price tags of £129.99.

The products are based on real bumper cars and each feature a 6v rechargeable battery, flashing lights, music, a safety strap, 360- degree turning, an auto reverse mode and air cushions to prevent skirting boards and furniture being damaged.

“Initial reception towards these products at London Toy Fair and Nuremberg Toy Fair has been excellent,” Kids@Play founder Malcolm Evans told

“Our R2D2 powered ride-in is also achieving great acclaim.”

Kids@Play says it is currently focusing on the Disney and Star Wars toys.
