DHX Media, and its licensing arm CPLG, have signed a raft of new deals for children’s properties including Caillou, Strawberry Shortcake and Space Invaders.
A wave of branded products will be released for Caillou this year. In Canada, character costumes are being produced by Daytime Enterprises, while long-time partner Editions Gladius International is releasing Caillou themed games.
In the US, DHX has renewed an agreement with Buy Seasons for birthday party supplies, and has also signed up Genera Mobile Solutions SA to create a 3D talking Caillou app including app mini games. A further Caillou jigsaw puzzle app is being produced via Budge Studios.
Meanwhile, Busytown Mysteries will welcome a fourth year with the American Automobile Association to promote car seat safety, while Wendy’s is producing an under-three programme featuring Richard Scarry’s Busytown Mysteries books.
The licensing programmes for American Greetings Properties’ Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears also continue to grow. In addition, CPLG has secured deals in the US on Space Invaders and Happy Bunny.
