In a limited time partnership deal, Care Bears will team up with Bunny King for a line of gifts, bags and stationery throughout Asian territories.
The year-long promotion has been announced by AG Properties, the intellectual property and outbound licensing division of American Greetings corporation and licensing agent, Medialink.
Kicking off this month, the Care Bears characters team with the famous Hong Kong-based character, Bunny King, which currently boasts more than 400 items in retail locations across Greater China.
The cross over effort will roll out a portfolio of gifts, bags and stationery throughout Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Indonesia.
"There is tremendous value in co-branding opportunities as we look to expand the reach of our properties abroad," said carla Silva, vice president of global licensing for AG Properties.
"Care Bear fans in Asia are some of the most passionate in the world, and we’re thrilled to give them a fresh new entry point to the franchise."
Care Bears debuted in 1982, soon becoming a global sensation as they each represent different emotions through symbols on their tummies, including Tenderheart Bear, Cheer Bear, Grumpy Bear, Share Bear, Harmony Bear and Funshine Bear.
