UK broadcaster, ITV has commissioned a second season of its revived gameshow, Catch Phrase to grace TV screens in 2014.
The season will begin filming in September, while additional celebrity specials have also been ordered.
In light of the series confirmation, DRG – the independent distributor of broadcast content – is now looking to extend Catch Phrase’s successful licensing programme.
The show which returned to TV screen in April this year, following an 11 year absence, is recognised globally, establishing itself as on of the top UK game shows with the first series achieving average peak audience figures of over five million viewers.
Charlotte Hargreaves, SVP marketing and business development, DRG, said: "Catch Phrase series one saw great ratings and performed well across al viewing groups, so we are pleased that series two will begin filming in September.
"The catch Phrase brand is growing from strength to strength and we are excited about the further licensing opportunities this presents."
DRG recently launched a new Catch Phrase board game with licensee Drumond Park and has extended the Catch Phrase game play into an app launched on Kindle, iTunes and Google in May.
The firm will be representing the brand at BLE this year.
