CBeebies’ Boj inspires children to recycle

CBeebies television show Boj, produced by Pesky Productions, has been inspiring children in 12 Buckinghamshire pre-schools and nurseries to get recycling to celebrate National Recycle Week.

The character Boj is known for creating things by reusing and recycling, while teaching children how to be resourceful. Children who took part in the ‘Boj-ing’ activities transformed recycled items from home into musical instruments, watched an episode of the show called ‘Musical Mayhem’ and sung along to the music.

“Recycle Week is the perfect time for Boj to inspire our youngest community members to think about recycling, being resourceful and making entertainment rather than always buying new,” commented Claire Underwood,Pesky Productions director and creator of Boj.

“If we sow these ideas in the minds of young people, we will grow a generation of responsible innovators who can help create a more sustainable world.”

Pesky Productions are planning expand the Boj activity morning to pre-schools and nurseries across the nation to inspire more children to care about the environment and get recycling.
