A host of celebrities steamed into the Vue Cinema, Leicester Square over the weekend for the blue carpet premiere of the Thomas and Friends feature length special, King of the Railway.
Charlie Brooks, Luisa Zissman, Lulu and Julian Lloyd Webber were among the showbiz stars who attended the event with their families on Sunday, August 18th.
Actor and Thomas and Friends storyteller, Mark Moraghan (pictured next to the Fat Controller) also joined the character on the blue carpet alongside Channel Five Milkshake presenters Jen Pringle, Derek Moran and Olivia Birchenough.
Various television soap personalities were also in attendance, including Coronation Street actor, Charlie Condou, whose daughter Georgia celebrated her birthday at the event.
Condou – who plays character Marcus Dent, said: "It’s Georgia’s first birthday today and there couldn’t be a more exciting way to spend it. This is her first time at the cinema so she can’t wait to see Thomas on the ‘big telly’.
Apprentice finalist, Luisa Zissman, said: "The film was really good, I brought my daughter and a friend. They were absolutely silent the whole way through the film."
The short film will now run in 80 Vue cinemas across the country for ten days from August 23rd until September 1st, ahead of the DVD release on September 2nd.
King of the Railway is Thomas and Friends sixth direct to DVD special and follows the adventure of Thomas as he teams up with Stephenson’s Rocket.
