Challenge TV scores with more Bullseye

Challenge TV has acquired a further two series of the classic television gameshow, Bullseye.

The channel already broadcasts the programme – originally presented by comedian Jim Bowen – each week, to an audience of over 200,000.

Challenge will now offer fans of the show – that ran over the ITV network from 1981 to 1995 – a further installment of the blast from the past, with series six and nine joining its roster.

The show now extends beyond TV, with apparel lines from Poeticgem, while deals for quiz books and a tech accessories range are close to finalization.

The brand’s licensing agent, Bulldog Licensing is also in discussion with potential partners for online gaming, board games and men’s gifting.

“The fact that Challenge is adding to its existing Bullseye programme is indicative of just how popular this brand is,” said Bulldog MD, Rob Corney.

“It’s huge fun, gloriously retro and everyone has a soft spot for Bullseye, so it’s no surprise we are dealing with so much interest in the property.”
