Popular children’s series LazyTown is making its way to Channel 5 after the broadcaster secured a deal with Turner Broadcasting to air the new series on its pre-school strand, Milkshake.
The award winning brand has aired in more than 170 countries, reaching around 500 million homes, and will commence airing on Channel 5 from November.
The programme follows the adventures of a group of friends who each demonstrate strengths and weaknesses that children can identify with.
LazyTown’s aim to motivate children to make healthier choices has been met with positive feedback across the globe, even including an invitation from the White House.
Jessica Symons, head of children’s at Channel 5, said: "LazyTown is a worldwide phenomenon and I’m positive the adventures of Stephanie, Sportacus and the gang will be loved by our Milkshake audience."
