Character World is celebrating its 15th anniversary in a year that has seen record sales for the firm.
The North West-based designers and producers of licensed bedroom accessories and furniture turned over £22.5 million in 2012 and is expecting to see this increase by 20 per cent before the end of 2013.
The firm has had an eventful 12 months, expanding its activities, signing a range of new licenses, growing the team and extending its European reach.
The family run firm is managed by brothers, Mark and Danny Schweiger (pictured).
Danny Schweiger (pictured on the right), joint managing director of Character World, said: "It’s been a record year for Character World and our expansion into Europe has been a real highlight.
"We’ve secured contracts with retailers in a variety of territories across Europe for a number of our product ranges.
"European trading is a key strategic growth plan for Character World and we are delighted with our first 18 months performance in this market.
"We are now focussing on strengthening our portfolio of licenses even further as we look to accelerate our place in this market and secure contracts in additional territories."
The firm now has 67 employees across the UK, Europe and China. The company is now seeking new European growth opportunities for 2014 and beyond.
