Character World launches Pusheen textile collection

Character World has created an exclusive bedroom textiles collection for popular brand Pusheen, which has now launched in stores nationwide.

The Pusheen brand, made famous through Facebook messenger stickers, picked up the award for Best Teen or Adult Licensed Property at this year’s Licensing Awards and boasts a growing licensed portfolio.

The Manchester-based textiles manufacturer has designed and produced a collection of Pusheen bedding and coordinating accessories including single and double duvet sets, a fleece blanket and a Pusheen shaped cushion. The products are currently available at high-street giants, Primark and Claire’s Accessories.

“The Pusheen property has made a huge impact with both retailers and consumers in recent years and we are extremely excited to be able to bring it to life in bedding and textiles," said Tim Kilby, brand director at Character World.

“Our range has had a big impact since it hit shelves, with brilliant sales figures, something that we predict will continue in 2018 as we roll it out to select retailers. The range is in demand from European partners so we have expanded our distribution license to cover all of Europe next year," continued Kilby.

“The range design is inspired by the adventurous nature of the well-known cat and incorporates soft pastel colours, appealing to teen fans upwards. We believe this property has huge potential and it is one that we look forward to developing further in the very near future.”

Character World’s stable of licensed includes such high-profile names as Marvel Comics, Justice League and Star Wars, and supplies to retailers including Next, Claire’s, Primark and John Lewis.
