Character World scoops top regional business accolade

Character World has been awarded the title of Business of the Year by the Manchester Evening News.

The firm picked up the top regional accolade at a special ceremony at Manchester’s Midland Hotel. Character World was named the winner in the category for firms with a turnover of £25-£50 million.

Danny and Mark Schweiger, joint MDs, were presented with the award by news presenter Nicholas Owen.

Danny Schweiger said: "It’s fantastic to pick up this award on behlaf of the whole team at Character World. We beat off strong competition from a number of successful North West businesses.

"To be crowned winner is a real testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone in the business.

"We’ve experienced an exciting period of growth in the last year, having picked up new licences, expanded our product range and moved into new territories. We’re looking forward to an exciting future."
