Character World welcomes new head of supply chain operations

Character World has appointed Lindsey Bonney as head of supply chain operations.

The appointment comes after a hugely successful 12 months for the Manchester-based business, as it continues its international growth drive.

Bonney (pictured) joins the firm after 14 years as group commercial manager at Caldeira, a manufacturing business within the home fashion and textile industry. At Character World, she is responsible for managing and overseeing the effective end to end supply chain service, including demand management, stock control, and retailer customer service as well as warehousing & onward distribution. Her appointment strengthens Character World’s growing Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) team.

The business has secured a number of lucrative pan-European contracts with global licensors over the last two years including Disney and Marvel and has recently announced ambitious international growth plans.

Adam Howarth, supply chain director at Character World, said: “Lindsey’s appointment strengthens our position in the market and demonstrates our commitment to our retailers and licensors. She is highly experienced in supply chain management as well as product development, sourcing and customer account management.

"Lindsey will play a key role in the growth and development of our supply chain which is a vital component of our business and will be key to achieving our growth plans.”

Character World recently won a European deal with children’s super brand LEGO Group for a new line of bedding and accessories.
