Character World welcomes new UK sales director

Character World has welcomed a new UK sales director in the form of the licensing industry veteran, Tony Lewis.

Lewis will be based in the firm’s Manchester headquarters and will work with the brand and creative teams to expand its efforts in different retail sectors across the UK.

Lewis joins the firm with 16 years experience as sales director at The Christy Group, a producer of branded clothing and accessories.

“It’s great to join the team at Character World at such an exciting time for the business,” said Lewis.

“The team has grown hugely in the past few years and I am really looking forward to working with them to continue to build upon the successes in the UK market.”

Over the past two years, Character World has grown its portfolio of leading licences with the recent addition of the likes of Star Wars, Finding Dory, Captain America Civil War, Frozen and Batman v Superman.

Character World distributes its products to retailers across the UK including Argos, Next, Toys R Us, Tesco, Asda and John Lewis.
