Chinese animation studio Winsing makes play for international toy market with GG Bond and GOGO Bus

The Chinese animation company Winsing is making its move on the international toy market with plans to preview a number of toys inspired by its popular children’s animated series at Spielwarenmesse next year.

The company will be showcasing ranges based on its action comedy GG Bond, a popular series now in its 16th season, as well as the edutainment and adventure show GOGO Bus, now in its third season across China.

Aimed at children aged four to eight, GG Bond follows super-powered piglet battling a number of threats to the world with the help of his friends. GG Bond is available in English-speaking markets under the title Kung Fu Pork Choppers. Its viewership in China is in its millions.

Meanwhile, GOGO Bus is follows the adventures of an AI school bus and its cast of supporting characters. GOGO Bus has already been a hit in its domestic market and a number of other countries, and enjoyed a strong performance at retail.

Winsing saw a strong response to both series at MIPCom and ATF this year. The company is now looking to build on this early reception through the toy industry. The firm will be showcasing its products at Spielwarenmesse, taking place from January 29 to February 2.
