ITV has partnered with Novel Entertainment to broadcast a further 14 episodes of the popular animated children's series.

CITV to air new season of Horrid Henry this autumn

ITV is preparing to air a new season of Novel Entertainment’s hit children’s show, Horrid Henry.

In a demonstration of further commitment to the popular animated series, 14 new episodes of Horrid Henry will air on CITV and ITV this autumn.

With 208 episodes now in its arsenal, Horrid Henry is now one of the biggest children’s animated shows in the UK.

CITV has already been gearing up for the launch of the new season, having hosted a week of Horrid Henry episodes this summer and is now preparing to air a back-to-school weekend on September 5th and 6th.

Elsewhere, Novel Entertainment has declared that the Horrid Henry property has ‘gone from strength to strength’, as the Horrid Henry’s Big Box of Pranks app hit iOS and Android this month, while a new line of clothing and DVD packs hit retailers this July.

‘Novel’s three time BAFTA-nominated TV show has been a huge success for CITV and the brand has been extended to include film, stage, radio and online as well as being at the heart of a successful licensing and merchandising programme,’ read a statement from the firm.

‘The show is now consistently the most watched programme for the CITV channel and has a significant and growing social media following.’
