Former Classic Media and Mind Candy exec to champion growing network of Sea Life centres.

Clare Wiggins joins Sea Life as global brand marketing manager

Former Classic Media and Mind Candy executive, Clare Wiggins has taken on the new role of global brand marketing manager for Sea Life.

Wiggins (pictured) has joined the marketing team at Sea Life’s parent company Merlin.

She began her career at Red Bull – helping to host its Trafalgar Square ‘Railstorm’ event – before moving on to become the brand manager for classic children’s character Basil Brush. She remained in this role through the six TV series, plus the Saturday morning show Basil’s Swap Shop, even taking Basil on the road in his first theatre tour.

Five years at Classic Media (now DreamWorks) followed, working on brands including Postman Pat, Wally and George of the Jungle, before moving on to Mind Candy, heading up the event division for Moshi Monsters for the last three years.

"I was drawn to the role with Sea Life by the great opportunities the brand offers to educate the younger generation on how they can get involved and help conserve the marine environment," Wiggins commented.

Sea Life centres currently number 45 on four continents.
