Coolabi celebrates new series of Clangers with ‘Call the Clangers’ London experience

Coolabi is celebrating the launch of a new series of the hit children’s show Clangers with a pop-up experience held in the UK’s capital.

Titled ‘Call the Clangers’, the experience was held in London’s Battle Bridge Place, King’s Cross where families were able to call the Clangers via a pop-up knitted London phone box.

The phone box featured a direct line straight through to the Clangers’ little blue planet and managed to create a stir on social media, reaching over 464,000 Twitter timelines and 193,000 Facebook users.

Call the Clangers was also featured live on BBC Radio London while Michael Palin, narrator for the hit CBeebies series, made an appearance on the BBC Radio Chris Evans Breakfast show.

The Clangers knitted phone box was created by the formidable duo Deadly Knitshade (Lauren O’Farrell) and Teasemade (Sami Teasdale).

Meanwhile, the Clangers costume characters were on hand to keep children and families entertained with dances, stickers and activity sheets.

Developed by Coolabi Group, the multi-award winning pre-school animated series launched a slate of new episodes on CBeebies on Monday, May 23rd.
