Fashion UK and Scribble Down join the licensing programme for publishing property.

Coolabi lines up more partners for Beast Quest

Coolabi is continuing to grow the programme for publishing property Beast Quest, adding a brace of new licensees.

The hit adventure book property has been picked up by Fashion UK, which will design and distribute a daywear and nightwear collection, plus Scribble Down, which will create transfer packs targeting seven to ten year olds.

Beast Quest is published in the UK by Orchard Books and owned by Working Partners (part of the Coolabi Group). It boasts over 100 books published to date, and is translated into more than 30 languages. Over 13.5 million copies of Beast Quest adventures have been sold worldwide.

The Fashion UK line will include t-shirts, sweats, hoodies, fashion tops, jogging bottoms and shorts. Nightwear apparel will include pyjama sets and onesies.

Meanwhile, Scribble Down’s two-year deal will see product available from November.

"Beast Quest is a hot property right now," said Valerie Fry, director of sales at Coolabi. "Momentum is really growing for the brand. We are very excited to launch both an apparel collection and transfer packs for Beast Quest. Watch this space as there is a lot more to come from this fantasy franchise."

Elsewhere, Beast Quest will come to life in the digital work through a co-creation with Miniclip and Coolabi, with mobile games launching this winter. Winning Moves is also on board and will roll out a collection of Top Trumps in January 2015.

Skyjack Publishing and Pedigree Books will both be printing Beast Quest-themed publications, including three magazines and an annual respectively.
