Coolabi has secured a raft of new licensing deals for its fantasy adventure brand, Beast Quest, including Top Trump cards and a range of book titles.
UK publishers SkyJack Publishing and Pedigree Books have both signed with the brand to produce various titles.
SkyJack will release up to three magazine over the year entitled 100% Beast Quest, with the fist scheduled to launch across the UK and Ireland this August.
“From the moment we saw the amazing world of Beast Quest at the Brand Licensing Europe fair in London, we felt that a pre-teen magazine based on these books would be the perfect accompaniment to such a thrilling series,” said Nic Protopsaltis, managing director at SkyJack.
Meanwhile, a Beast Quest annual is due to hit UK retailers this autumn, courtesy of Pedigree.
In the collectables sector, Winning Moves UK has penned a deal to design and release a set of gaming cards to sit within its Top Trumps range. These will also be available in digital form via a new app. Both will be available in the UK this autumn.
Suzie Howes, head of marketing at Winning Moves UK, added: “Top Trumps is a great way for the kids to explore the amazing Beast Quest adventures.
“They can learn endless facts about the characters and the kingdom while enjoying a great game at the same time.”
Published in the UK by Orchard Books and owned by Working Partners, the Beast Quest franchise boasts over 100 book titles to date, and is translated in more than 30 languages.
Valerie Fry, director of sales at Coolabi, said: “The Beast Quest franchise is starting to build momentum and we are thrilled to be launching a series of magazines for the brand in addition to the game which we have recently announced with MiniClip.
“The Beast Quest audience will soon be able to enjoy the fantasy stories across a number of media platforms.”
