Copyright Promotions Licensing Group is extending its handle on Europe with new offices planned in Stockholm and Warsaw.
The expansion will be managed by Maarten Weck, current MD of CPLG Benelux, who will step up to the role of MD of CPLG Northern Europe.
The expansion has been cited as a ‘natural step for CPLG,’ by the firm’s CEO, Peter Byrne.
“CPLG has so much momentum in the business and this is a natural step in our overall long-term growth plans and Maarten is the perfect person to lead this expansion,” he said.
“We are very excited to be bringing CPLG’s fresh thinking to these markets.”
The firm has also appointed Jenny Strehle Ilic as commercial director, Nordic and Slawomir Ekiert as commercial director, CEE.
“We could not be more delighted that Jenny and Slawomir have joined CPLG top spearhead our new territory expansions,” said Weck. “Both bring unique skill sets and huge depth of experience in their respective markets.”
CPLG Nordic and CPLG CEE have already been appointed by Mind Candy for its mobile game franchise, World of Warriors, and will also handle the licensing for DHX Brands properties, including Teletubbies and Twirlywoos.
Steve Manners, EVP of CPLG, added: “It is fantastic to hit the ground running with these great properties. We are currently in discussion with several other licensors about potential representation, and have received a very welcome reaction to our growth strategy.
“We anticipate announcing further representation very shortly.”
