CPLG extends deal with St Andrews Links

CPLG has expanded its deal to represent St Andrews Links, the Home of Golf, until 2018.

The firm will be aiming to build on the existing success of the St Andrews Links Partnership Programme, which has been established over the past eight years and has attracted global partner Allianz and official partners Brooks Brothers, Callaway and Rolex.

In addition, CPLG will look to identify new categories for international licensing and future initiatives to expand the brand.

Danny Campbell, commercial director at St Andrews Links, commented: "We are delighted to have extended our relationship with CPLG and are immensely proud of the partnership and licensing programme we have delivered together over the past eight years.

"For golfers the world over to visit to The Old Course at St Andrews Links is the culmination of a lifelong dream. We occupy a very unique position as the Home of Golf and are very proud of our history and heritage."

Vickie O’Malley, MD of CPLG UK, added: "With The Open Championship taking place in 2015 global interest is only set to continue in the Links and we are thrilled to be part of that journey for the next five years.

"During this phase we will focus on securing best in class commercial partnerships for travel, automotive and logistics and develop the licensing programmes into new categories such as luggage, ceramics, glassware, jewellery and fragrance."
