Daft Punk backs album release with action figures and condoms

French electronic music duo, Daft Punk are building on the success of their recently released album, Random Access Memories, with the release of action figures and condoms.

Rolling Stone reports that the new figures will feature the musicians Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo dressed in their latest futuristic attire.

According to a product description the figures have been ‘crafted with meticulous attention to detail’ and feature helmets with a ‘shiny metallic finish’.

The action figures arrive through a partnership with Bandai and Japan’s SH Figuarts.

They will feature seven sets of interchangeable hand parts to collect and are set to launch in Japan and the US from December 27th.

Meanwhile, the duo have also teamed up with Durex to release their own brand of ‘Get Lucky’ condoms.

A report from NME states that the latest branded release will see packs emblazoned with the cover art from the pair’s top selling single ‘Get Lucky’.

Durex have been promoting the packs by sending samples to selected DJs.
