Kennedy Publishing has signed a deal to publish Deer Little Forest activity pages within its Get Busy and Busy Time pre-schoolmagazines.
The deal marks Deer Little Forest’s first foray into magazine publishing in the UK.
The Deer Little Forest activity pages will initially appear in the March, May, June and July 2015 issues, with other dates still to be determined.
Get Busy and Busy Time magazines are designed for pre-school and primary aged children, and grace the shelves of retailers including Asda, Tesco, WH Smith and Sainsburys.
“With imagination, teamwork and friendship at the heart of these beautifully illustrated tales, we knew instantly that Deer Little Forest would be a welcome addition to our pre-school activity magazines," said Clare Twomey, editorial and creative manager of Kennedy Publishing.
"We’re confident that the adventures of Forest Flo and her friends will captivate our young readers and are really looking forward to supporting the brand as it develops.”
Deer Little Forest is the one of the few properties without significant retail presence or a TV series to be featured in Busy Time or Get Busy.
Jo Rose, creator of Deer Little Forest, added: “I am absolutely delighted that kids in the UK will finally be able to meet my characters – and that the wonderful team at Kennedy will be the ones making that introduction.
"It is also a thrill that Deer Little Forest pages will be sitting alongside some of the best pre-school characters around.”
