DHX Brands boosts global teams with new appointments

DHX Brands has boosted its team with three key appointments across its London and US offices.

Kaisa Nieminen has been named senior brand manager for North America, while Dave Tovey joins the newly created role of business development manager, EMEA.

Lastly, Danielle Tanton has been appointed to the new role of live events and attractions manager.

Peter Byrne, EVP of DHX Brands, said: “These appointments underpin the rapid global expansion of DHX Brands since inception. Kaisa, Dave and Danielle bring immense experience in their disciplines and will provide invaluable extra firepower as we continue to expand our brands worldwide.”

In addition, DHX Media has revealed that its content-creation arm will be rebranded to DHX Studios.

The firm is also building a new 60,000sq ft animation studio in Vancouver, which is to be completed by December 2016.

Steven DeNure, president and COO of DHX Media, added: “The reorganisation of this business unit cements DHX Media’s dedication to producing outstanding original content.

“We’re excited to launch DHX Studios under this strong management group, and to be bringing our 2D and 3D Vancouver animation teams together into one facility."
