DHX Media signs new broadcasters for The Deep

DHX Media, Technicolour and Stark Production have inked a series of new broadcast deals for underwater series, The Deep.

Newly signed deals for season two’s 13 half-hour episodes include Universal Kids (US), Nickelodeon (Greece), NRK Super (Norway), YLE (Finland), POP (Italy) and many more across Russia, the Baltics and Switzerland.

These new broadcasters add to a roster of previous deals with Australia’s ABC ME, CBBC in the UK, Netflix in the US, Germany’s Super RTL and Canada’s Family CHRGD.

“A commitment to a second season of The Deep from so many international broadcasters is testament to the show’s massive popularity with kids and families, worldwide,” said Josh Scherba, EVP of distribution and content at DHX Media.

“The Deep is fun, fresh and full of excitement, and we’re extremely pleased with the results of this collaboration with Technicolor and A Stark Production.”

Season two of the hit show will also air on Australia’s ABC ME daily from August 22nd, and starting rolling out in the UK during July on CBBC.
