Ravensburger, MV Sports and International Greetings join a burgeoning roster of licensees for the popular preschool property.

DHX signs swathe of licensing partners for Teletubbies reboot

DHX Media has appointed a swathe of UK licensing partners for the upcoming Teletubbies reboot.

The new deals will see a roster of core products based on the popular preschool property hit the market in 2016.

Signed through the firm’s licensing partner, CPLG, new partners include Ravensburger, MV Sports and International Greetings.

Ravensburger will develop a new line of themed puzzles, MV Sports will work on a collection of Teletubbies wheeled and outdoor toys while International Greetings will produce new products for the arts and craft category.

CPLG has also signed Gemma to produce greetings cards and Rainbow Productions for costume characters of Tinky Winky, Laa Laa, Dipsy and Po.

The new deals all follow the announcement of Character Options as the master toy partner for the property.

Commissioned by CBeebies, a new 60 episode series of the preschool show is now under production for DHX Media by award-winnin UK production company, Darrall Macqueen Ltd.

“There has been a phenomenal response from the licensing community to the new Teletubbies and we are delighted to welcome on board these ‘best in class’ partners,” said Peter Byrne, EVP, DHX Brands.

“These partners will help to set the ball rolling on the eagerly anticipated consumer products programme.”
