Discovery Consumer Products boosted by arrival of Robert Marick

Discovery Communications has named Robert Marick VP of North American licensing and global location based entertainment for Discovery Consumer Products.

Marick (pictured) will oversee the strategy and development of products across the Discovery family of networks for both the US and Canada. In additional, he will be responsible for the division’s rapidly growing location based entertainment program worldwide.

“Robert’s track record for building successful brands and licensing programs is unmatched. He possesses unique insight enabling him to transform entertainment properties into engaging and innovative programs at retail,” said Nicolas Bonard, SVP of Discovery Consumer Products.

“We are thrilled to have Robert join the team and look forward to tapping into his wealth of knowledge and expertise in this new position.”

Marick added: “As both a fan of the Discovery networks, and a believer in the brands and diverse product offering provided to consumers, I am excited to collaborate with the dynamic Discovery team helping to grow the division’s portfolio even further."

Marick has more than 20 years’ experience working for some of the biggest Fortune 100 entertainment and consumer packaged goods companies including Disney, 20th Century Fox, Time Warner and Mattel.
