Discovery Consumer Products eyes expansion with new VP of global retail sales

Discovery Consumer Products is positioning itself for international expansion with the appointment of a new VP of global retail sales and business development.

Former VP of retail sales and business development for North America, Doris Miller, is extending her role to a global scale in which she will work with the firm’s global licensing division.

Miller will continue to play an integral role in the overall strategic planning for the business across North America, Asia, Europe and Latin America, but is now tasked with increasing the company’s retail presence around the world.

She will look to develop the global reach of brands including Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC and Discovery Kids as well as focus on retail strategies for Discovery Expedition, Discovery Adventures, Doki and more.

“The expansion of Doris’ role is a true reflection of our licensing team and efforts to create cohesive and recognisable brands around the world,” said Nicolas Bonard, SVP of Discovery Consumer Products.

“Over the past year, doris has been instrumental in the growth of our North American licensing business and we believe her expertise and consistency across the global organisation is a key component to our continued success.”
