Discovery teams with Parques Reunidos on global entertainment centre project

Parques Reunidos has partnered with Discovery Communications to develop themed entertainment centres across the US, Western Europe and Asia-Pacific.

The indoor entertainment centres will include highly interactive entertainment facilities, rides, a dining area and a retail store in a partnership that will boast 10 family friendly centres around the globe.

Each entertainment centre will be themed around topics such as nature, space, the oceans and adventure and will allow visitors to interact with their favourite Discovery brands on a deep level, through experiences aimed at taking viewers beyond the TV screen.

Developing entertainment spaces n shopping malls and downtown landmark buildings is one of Parques Reunidos’ developmental strategies. The group is currently working with a variety of partners to build more than 20 centres in addition to the six that have already been signed in Centro Commercial Thader, Dolce Vita Tejo, Intu Lakeside, two in Centro Comercial Xanadu and Lionsgate Entertainment City.

Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Parques Reunidos, said: “This partnership with Discovery represents a unique opportunity to create innovative family-friendly, educational experiences.

“Discovery’s mission to entertain and enlighten people about the world around them makes the perfect match with Parques Reunidos as we deliver engaging entertainment experiences for all.”
