Disney has joined up with Royal Philips to launch a new line of special lighting products featuring some of its most popular characters.
Royal Philips says the new range will combine its lighting expertise with Disney’s characters to make children’s bedrooms a more imaginative place for them to read, play and sleep.
The products will be co-branded and sold through a variety of complementary Philips and Disney retail channels starting in Europe and the US from September. Asia and Canada will follow later this year.
The portfolio includes concepts in connected lighting which allow children to interact with Disney stories and characters. Children and parents are able to connect e-books with their lighting to interactively create an experience which allows them to become fully immersed in the story.
The range also includes lights featuring ‘light that comforts’, such as nightlights that emit a gentle glow, to products designed to help promote a regular sleep pattern for children by letting them know when it’s time to get up.

Products include StoryLight and Mickey starter kit, SleepTime and Mickey and Minnie Mouse, SoftPals (Sulley and Mike from Monsters, Inc and classic Mickey and Minnie, LED candles (Princess, Minnie and Mickey), LivingColors Micro (Cars, Planes, Princess and Ariel) and LivingColors Mini (Mickey and Minnie).
