Disney Channel and Bravokids picks up eOne’s Cupcake & Dino for SE Asia and Korea

The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia and Bravokids have both acquired the exclusive pay-TV broadcast rights to series one of Entertainment One’s animated kids’ comedy series, Cupcake & Dino in South East Asian and Korea.

Episodes are due to start airing from spring 2020 across multiple territories on the Disney Channel including in Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, and Myanmar, among others and as well as on Bravokids in Korea.

Entertainment One’s Monica Candiani, EVP content sales, Family and Brands, said: “This latest deal for Cupcake & Dino highlights the growing global appeal of Pedro Eboli’s hilarious show and we look forward to bringing the duo’s madcap adventures to new audiences across Asia.”

Created by the Brazilian director Pedro Eboli and a co-production between eOne and Brazil’s award-winning animation studio Birdo Studios, Cupcake & Dino: General Services follows the exploits of a cupcake with big ideas and his giant brother Dino as they strive to make a name for themselves in the super competitive General Services industry.

Aimed at boys and girls aged six to 11 years, whilst also ticking that ‘kidult’ box too, it has been described as a ‘laugh-out-loud cartoon sitcom about two larger-than-life bros packed with big-time heart.’

Series one and two are currently available on Netflix, Teletoon in Canada and Disney channels in Latin America.
