Disney pushes ahead with The Jungle Book 2

As Disney’s live-action The Jungle Book lands in UK cinemas, there are reports that the studio is already looking ahead to a sequel.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Jungle Book director Jon Favreau and writer Justin Marks are in talks to return for a follow-up, and Rudyard Kipling penned several Jungle Book stories to draw from, each following Mowgli on different adventures.

The Jungle Book opens Friday in the UK, North America, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, China, Brazil and Mexico, and has already opened at number one in markets across Asia and Latin America.
