Disney releases The Lion King CGI remake trailer into the wild

Disney has released the first look teaser trailer for the 2019 live-action remake of its classic film The Lion King.

Yes, it is every bit as dramatic as we all remember it, from the voice of James Earl Jones and his famous ‘everything the light touches’ speech to the moment Simba is held aloft his new kingdom.

Disney’s The Lion King is scheduled for release next summer and stars the voices of Beyonce as Nala, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, James Earl Jones as Mufasa and Donald Glover Jr as Simba.

The film is a CGI live action retelling of the 1994 animated classic from the director of The Jungle Book and featuring an original score from Hans Zimmer as well as songs by Tim Rice and Elton John.

What with this and the live action remake of Disney’s Dumbo hitting cinemas next year, we don’t know how we’re going to end 2019 in one piece.
