Disney reveals first glimpse of Star Wars Land

Disney has given fans a sneak peek of its Star Wars Land, with the release of a series of images and a video of a large-scale model of the theme park.

First unveiled during the D23 expo, the 3D model is 50-foot wide and showcased an area that will cover around 14 acres.

The images released by Disney depict a city with metal structures, surrounded by green forests.

The Star Wars lands, which are set to open in Disneyland and Walt Disney World in 2019, will give fans the chance to control the Millennium Falcon and travel to a never-before-seen-planet.

Guests will also enjoy taking part in a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
