Disney secures broadcasting deal with Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1

Disney has signed a long-term agreement with German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1.

The new deal gives the broadcaster access to new Hollywood blockbusters and TV series produced by Disney, ABC Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel.

The deal includes the exclusive rights for ProSiebenSat.1’s entire offering, including free TV licences.

Plus, the agreement also covers selected pay TV and subscription video on demand rights for platforms such as Maxdome.

In addition, the broadcaster will have access to Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, Walt Disney Pictures’ The Jungle Book, and the Disney Pixar film Finding Nemo, as well as the sequel Finding Dory.

Upcoming films such as Star Wars movies from Lucasfilm have also been included.

Some TV series have also been covered in the deal from ABC Studios, including shows such as Quantico, Code Black and Criminal Minds.

The new agreement will also see ProSiebenSat.1 gain access to Disney’s library, which features movies such as Frozen and Monsters, Inc.
