Disney Store UK launches Christmas charity campaign with celebrity party

Disney Store UK kicked off its From Our Family to Yours Christmas campaign this week with a star-studded seasonal party at its Oxford Street store.

TOWIE’s Lydia Bright joined the likes of Stacey Solomon and Tamara Ecclestone to celebrate the launch of this year’s initiative to support both Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and In Kind Direct.

As part of the campaign, Disney Store is now encouraging families across the UK to participate by taking a festive photo in the Disney Store or dig out a classic and share their moments through Instagram or Twitter using #DisneyStoreFamily.

Each family that submits a photo will be entered into a competition to win a family trip to New York, including a private shopping spree at the Disney Store n Times Square.

For every family photo shared, a soft toy will be donated to a child through Disney Store’s chosen national charities, up to a total of 15,000 across the UK, France and Ireland.

2015 marks the seventh year Disney Store has run a Christmas campaign to support children’s charities, and to date, has donated over 125,000 soft toys throughout Europe.

“This year our Christmas campaign ‘From Our Family to Yours’ is extra special, as we are asking families to share their most cherished memories with us, in aid of helping spread a little Disney magic to children across the UK and Ireland,” said Graham Burridge, managing director, Disney Store Europe.

“For the past six years we have been overwhelmed by the response from the public who support our annual charity campaign. We hope lots of people will come to the store to take their photos or share their favourite family photos online.”
