Disney unleashes Marvel Heroes Come in All Sizes retail campaign on spring 2017

Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media is debuting a new Marvel Heroes Come in All Sizes retail campaign this spring.

A celebration of Marvel Super Heroes – as well as everyday heroes – the campaign will deliver a broad spectrum of merchandise, new story content, digital storytelling and numerous collaborations.

The focus of the campaign will be to reinforce the idea that the best way to measure a Super Hero is by the size of their heart. The initiative will package content, marketing and new product releases to drive Marvel at retail for fans of all ages.

Home entertainment, television, publishing and digital content will all be encompassed in the campaign as Marvel Publishing releases a new Monsters Unleashed comic series, Disney Publishing delivers its first novel for young readers featuring Squirrel Girl in The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World and a picture book featuring Baby Groot.

On the small screen, fans will be able to catch the season three finale of Marvel’s Ultron Revolution and the season four finale of Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man Vs. The Sinister Six.

New Marvel launches will be hitting digital platforms this spring, too, including unique video and gaming content for all ages.

This month sees the launch of Scavenger Hunt Game on MarvelKids.com, while this March will see Telltale Games debut its new Guardians of the Galaxy console game.

Fan favourite toys and collectables will be getting a new look with the debut of six-inch Marvel Legends figures from Hasbro, new larger scale Funko collectable characters and updated Mighty Micros from LEGO.

New items will launch this spring, including additional Tsum Tsum characters from Jakks, diecast figures from Jada Toys and new collectables from Schleich.

Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media is supporting Marvel Heroes Come in All Sizes with a series of new brand driven marketing spots and influencer campaigns.

There will also be a stop-motion advertainment spot, worked on in conjunction with Hasbro and Marvel Animation and using Hasbro actions figures, released this month.

“Whether you are big like Hulk, small like Ant-Man or smart and quick-to-action like Black Widow, Marvel truly has a hero for everyone,” said Paul Gitter, senior vice president, licensing, Marvel at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media.

“From young kids to teenagers, to a casual fan or a diehard adult collector, Marvel Heroes Come in All Sizes showcases that there is no singular definition for a hero and that our diversity is what makes us so powerful.”
