Disney’s Frozen offers cool licensing opportunities

Christmas may have just passed, but Disney is already preparing for the next festive season to roll around.

The entertainment giant releases ‘epic’ new animation Frozen in December, and expects the on-screen and real-world winters to support licensing opportunities.

Kristen Bell provides the voice of Anna, a fearless optimist who seeks to end the spell that has trapped her kingdom in an eternal deep freeze. She enlists the help of mountain man Kristoff and snowman Olaf along the way, as the three band together to find the Snow Queen.

Marianthi O’Dwyer, VP of licensing & publishing for The Walt Disney Company UK & Ireland, said: "Launching ahead of Christmas, Frozen provides a perfect opportunity to bring a fresh product offering to retailers and consumers this festive season and beyond.

"The film will provide great opportunities for seasonally-themed licensed products and unique point of sale at retail which taps into the film’s themes."
