Popular pre-teen boys magazine Doctor Who Adventures has teamed with the augmented reality platform Blippar for a special digital edition.
Celebrating 50 years of the sci-fi adventure series, the digital edition will allow readers to interact with the Doctor Who content and includes features such a moving vortex front cover featuring all the Doctors and the ability to put their own face on a monster.
The AR function will also allow readers to watch a ‘top tip’ from Commander Strax, put on the Doctor dress-up kit, have a picture taken with the Tardis, view a 3D monster fact file and watch a video of David Tennant and Matt Smith talk about what’s next for the Doctor.
Doctor Who Adventures magazine editor, Moray Laing, said: "We pride ourselves on bringing our reader closer to the action-packed world of their favourite show and this time we have taken the magazine to another dimension.
"Blippar has allowed us to play around with some of the scariest monsters in the universe to create fantastic interactive content which we know our imaginative readers will love."
The issue, number 334 of Doctor Who Adventures magazine, is on sale until December 9th and is priced at £3.99.
